It's The Only Way To Live, In Cars.....

Posts are getting exceedingly few and far between at the moment. My defence is that I have had a very busy week and a bit....

I passed the driving assessment and was offered the driving job, delivering groceries for an online shopping company, riving 3.5 tonne around London and surrounding areas. This week was my first week of training, including on-the-job deliveries and customer service. Whilst this will undoubtedly plug a hole financially it doesn't mean that I won't keep looking for something more in tune with my qualifications and experience.

I do have an interview towards the end of this month for the Records Manager job that I applied for last month (No. 9 on this list). Of the 20 or so that I applied for is is the only one to offer me an interview, bar the only one that I got via the Job Centre that turned out to be far too junior for me. One of the agencies has insisted I apply for a job that I was turned down for in January; perhaps they are re-evaluating their previous candidates. I still hold out some hope for one with a company in Scotland, as it was very similar to what I did in my oil & gas role. Both this and No.9 would mean working away all week, returning home on the Friday. Needs must in the current climate - mind you, I haven't been offered either job yet....
